Greg Jones, host of the 1 Minute Wednesday video series, delivers a concise, actionable collection of guidance for those operating in and around managed services in his new book.

Greg Jones, the senior vice president of managed service provider enablement for EMEA and North America at Kaseya, knows a thing or two about the managed services market. He also knows a lot of people operating in and around managed services. Six years ago, the need to exchange experiences and information about this vital channel segment led him to start his video series, 1 Minute Wednesday.

After dozens of weekly installments, Jones compiled a wealth of insights, strategies, and tips from industry experts and practitioners. He has also developed a number of his own through interactions with MSPs worldwide. So he did what every good content creator does for their audience: compiled everything into a book, The Best of 1 Minute Wednesday.

The Best of 1 Minute Wednesday arrives at a time when managed service providers are under increasing pressure to adapt to changing market conditions. Rather than adding another long-form theory to an already crowded field of MSP guidance, the book takes a different approach – delivering short, practical insights designed for immediate application.

The premise is straightforward: most MSP leaders already understand what needs to be done, but execution is inconsistent. Jones structures the book to address that gap. Each entry distills a specific lesson into a concise, actionable takeaway, allowing readers to extract value quickly without committing to extended reading sessions. The format reflects how many operators actually consume information – in short bursts, focused on relevance rather than narrative.

This design is intentional. The book is designed for accessibility, enabling readers to jump between topics and apply insights to their current priorities. Whether it is improving sales discipline, preparing for economic downturns, or extracting more value from industry events, the emphasis is on practical steps rather than conceptual frameworks.

A key differentiator is the diversity of perspectives. The content is not limited to Jones’ own experience; it incorporates insights from dozens of MSPs, vendors, and industry leaders. This creates a composite view of best practices shaped by real-world experience, including lessons learned through costly mistakes and operational challenges.

The book also reflects the broader shift underway in the MSP market. As customer expectations evolve and demand expands beyond traditional IT services, providers must rethink their approach. Jones reinforces the need for MSPs to operate as go-to-market organizations, prioritizing sales and marketing alongside technical delivery.

Importantly, The Best of 1 Minute Wednesday positions itself as a tool, not a roadmap. It does not attempt to solve every strategic challenge facing MSPs. Instead, it offers a collection of focused insights that help operators refine execution, improve decision-making, and respond more effectively to change.

In a market where time is limited and complexity is increasing, clarity has value.

Jones joins Larry Walsh on the latest episode of Changing Channels to discuss his book, The Best of 1 Minute Wednesday.
