Distributor’s cloud division will use AvePoint exclusively for Modern Workplace Accelerate program
Migration and backup services that support Microsoft’s Office 365 productivity suite and Dynamics 365 CRM are hot commodities. Ingram Micro’s Cloud division is looking to tap into that market demand through a new relationship with AvePoint, which will provide those services exclusively to the Modern Workplace Accelerate program.
The Lowdown: Ingram Micro will offer AvePoint through its Cloud Marketplace to more than 55,000 resellers and managed service providers around the world. Solution providers can use AvePoint’s products to migrate and manage accounts from legacy applications to cloud-connected Office 365 and Dynamics 365 applications. Additionally, AvePoint offers data backup and recovery services for these Microsoft products.
The Details: Ingram will offer AvePoint’s solutions through its marketplaces. Solution providers participating in the Modern Workplace Accelerate program, which provides training and support for developing cloud practices, are eligible for discounted AvePoint services.
Background: Microsoft is making Office 365 adoption a top priority in 2019. There are more than 1.1 billion active legacy on-premises Office licenses in use. Only 10% of the installed base is using Office 365, and few alternatives exist in the market. Microsoft and its partners, such as Ingram, see Office 365 migration and support as a huge opportunity for solution providers. The Ingram Micro and AvePoint relationship is a reflection of that market opportunity.
