Unveils new resources for integrators focused on digital signage, AV, physical security, and collaborative communications solutions
Fremont, California-based specialty distributor Synnex is shedding the spotlight on “cohesive technology solutions” with the rollout of expanded advisory services, training, and access to the expert community.
The Lowdown: Synnex has announced the launch of an advisory council and a comprehensive training program around its VisualSolv business, which caters to solution providers in the areas of AV, digital signage, collaborative communications, presentation technology, and physical security.
The Details: The newly minted council, consisting of a diverse collection of integrators, will act as industry leaders, each leveraging its unique skillset to advance the industry and facilitate growth in the converged space encompassing VisualSolv’s respective technologies.
Meanwhile, the VisualSolv team is also rolling out a training program that includes online classes and regional events. The online series will consist of several tracks, including 101 Webinars, Tech Talks, Project Spotlights, and Industry Event Takeaways, and will provide Synnex’s customers with the information and insights they need – not just on the core subjects of digital signage, AV, physical security, and collaborative communications but also on the complementary topics of cloud computing, IoT, and secure networking – to deliver powerful solutions to end users.
The regional events, targeted at Synnex integrators’ local sales reps, will provide guidance on working with the distributor through the entire deal lifecycle and offering creative financing solutions for VisualSolv technologies, such as AV-as-a-service. Slated dates and locations this year include Chicago (Aug. 13-14), Dallas (Sept. 25-26), and Los Angeles (Oct. 23-24).
Last, VisualSolv will now participate in Synnex’s longtime Secret Sauce program – road shows for partners looking to gain a competitive edge. The events, which will take place on May 1 in Atlanta and on July 18 in San Francisco, feature presentations from Synnex and its top vendors, as well as networking opportunities for all of Synnex’s vendor and reseller partners.
Background: Synnex’s VisualSolv business brings together experts in AV and communications hardware, software, and services. Through VisualSolv, the distributor offers industry-certified technical staff, sales and business support, financing solutions, fulfillment services, an online portal, and warranty programs to integrators that provide AV, digital signage, physical security, and collaborative communications solutions.
Synnex isn’t the only company these days touting the convergence of traditional IT with AV, signage, access control, and other technologies. Software vendor Tigerpaw recently hired West McDonald, a managed print veteran, to help evangelize converged services to the company’s partners and end users. At its Website, Tigerpaw recently published a guest blog espousing the benefits – especially for SMBs – of managed technology service providers (MTSPs) that act as one-stop technology shops for end users.
The Buzz: “One of our strategic goals as a distributor is to fully understand our customers’ needs and continually bring value to their businesses,” said Sandi Stambaugh, vice president of product management at Synnex. “After hearing their feedback, we’ve built a strategy for 2019 around education and training designed to meet customers where they are and help them address critical topics as they continue to grow.”
