Expands leadership team on heels of business growth and expansion
Totango, a San Mateo, California-based company that helps enterprises leverage client data to enhance the customer experience, recently named Robert Crissman senior vice president of channels (pictured above). Totango also added two other people to its leadership team: Anne Ting, as senior vice president of marketing, and Hamutal Russo, as CFO.
The Lowdown: Coming off a year of noteworthy growth and expansion, Totango aims to flesh out its channel ecosystem and has charged Crissman with the task. Together, he, Ting, and Russo bring the company considerable expertise in financial planning, channel strategy, product marketing, and communications.
The Details: With more than 20 years of experience in the channel arena, Crissman has led channel strategy and programs at several brand-name vendors, including Microsoft, VMware, and Vonage. As SVP of channels at Totango, he’ll be responsible for expanding the company’s channel by bringing a variety of partners – solution providers, systems integrators, and strategic partners – into the fold.
A seasoned strategy and marketing executive, Ting has helmed marketing initiatives and teams at Motorola, Scientific Learning, and Unity Technologies, while Russo, also an industry veteran, has handled financial planning and fundraising for companies that span the gamut, from start-ups to established players.
Background: Totango, whose current channel partners include Deloitte, PwC, and Satrix Solutions, helps enterprises achieve digital transformation in a customer-centric economy by gleaning insights from client data and applying that knowledge to achieve “outsized business results.” Customers include Dimension Data, Jobvite, Schneider Electric, and Zoom. SAP, ServiceNow, Slack, and Zendesk are among Totango’s strategic partners.
The Buzz: “Enterprises have recognized the need to adopt a company-wide approach to customer success, and we have significant ambitions for how we will continue to empower our customers on their path to customer-centricity,” said Guy Nirpaz, CEO and co-founder of Totango. “To achieve this, we’re committed to building a world class team. Hamutal, Bob, and Anne are seasoned industry veterans who bring unique leadership expertise and a wealth of knowledge in key business development areas to propel our business to new heights.”
“Architecting a robust channel strategy is an integral part of achieving growth in new markets,” said Crissman. “I’m excited to help take Totango to the next level by working with the sales and partnership teams to add solution providers, system integrators, and strategic partners into Totango’s go-to-market strategy mix to ultimately bring a customer-centered paradigm to the mainstream enterprise.”
