Provider of Web security solutions introduces new rewards, tools, and certification programs
The company formerly known as Comodo CA has unveiled a revamped channel program that allows partners to expand into new cybersecurity market segments.
The Lowdown: Sectigo has added benefits, discounts, and enablement tools to its four-tiered channel initiative. Partners have authorization to resell Sectigo’s entire portfolio of solutions, including TLS/SSL Certificates, Signing Certificates, Certificate Manager, IoT Manager, and PCI Compliance and Website Vulnerability Scanning.
The Details: Partners receive incremental benefits, support, and pricing discounts as they progress through the four tiers – Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Titanium. Additions to the program include:
-Increased benefits per tier, such as quarterly business planning
-Partner tools that boost sales and marketing initiatives
-Market Development Funds (MDF)
-New revenue streams attached to the sale of Sectigo S/MIME, Certificate Manager, IoT Manager, and CodeGuard backup and recovery solutions
Background: In November 2018, Comodo CA rebranded as Sectigo, underscoring its expansion beyond SSL to IoT and Web security.
A few months prior, the company announced significant revenue growth, driven partly by an increase in global partner revenue of 27 percent year over year. With the revamped channel program, Sectigo aims to build on that growth trend by equipping partners worldwide with additional incentives and tools.
In 2017, Francisco Partners, a technology-focused private equity firm, acquired a majority stake in the certificate authority business of what was then Comodo CA. The move was intended to support the security company’s accelerated growth, fueled by an increased need to protect digital information, encrypt network traffic, and enhance trust in Websites.
The Buzz: “Sectigo is providing our partners with the necessary resources to increase visibility and profitability, and ensure their future success,” said Heather Bell, vice president of enterprise partners at Sectigo. “The initial input we have received about the new channel partner program has been very positive – and we will continue to explore ways to make it mutually beneficial.”
“It’s evident that Sectigo is committed to making our partnership successful,” said James McGuire of The SSL Store, a Sectigo Platinum partner. “With the program tiers, it’s reassuring to know that as our business needs scale, so do the levels of support and benefits. Sectigo has also built in rewards, which are obtainable regardless of the level of partnership. Partners will appreciate this flexibility as they grow their business.”
